a Valentine's Day tin and Valentines

When I was thinking about this project before I started my idea was a tin for little girls to store their Valentines in- and then I thought putting some pretty ones inside to give would be a nice addition and voila! The tin was created! The most difficult part, by far, was making a template for the top that accommodated the handle and then it needed to be adjusted for actually attaching...so I ended up with one piece, that was cut in two places (after a few of the previous tries were torn, wadded up and thrown away!). If any of you are interested send me an email and I will trace one for you so you can see how I did it.

The rest of the box was relatively easy. If you are making one, just remember to make adjustments for the latch and the hinges when you are covering those areas. Making the Valentine's Day cards was fun. Goodness, I would have loved one of these when I was a girl, I might have started scrapbooking and playing with cards much sooner! The papers I used were from Basic Grey's new line Kissing Booth, which is beautiful.
Have a great week!
God Bless!
