Funky new album....

I made this little album out of some chipboard and some card stock. It has a number of extra flaps to lift and some odd little places for photos. It ended up looking for all the world like a little journal (with a really pretty cover thanks to Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden). This is a fun blend of altered art and vintage funky, it was fun to do. Some of the images are from Crafty Secrets, the beautiful flowers are from the wonderful store Wild Orchid Crafts, papers are from a number of different sources- Graphic 45, Pink Paislee, Webster's Pages, and odds and ends from others. I purchased the two vintage postcards on EBAY, of course!Thanks for taking a peek! God Bless, Renee

Christmas in July! A design group that I belong to is having a Christmas in July event and this is my contribution... Dear Santa This was fun using some cute October Afternoon papers from several years ago... cute! God Bless! Renee

a place for summer snapshots...

THIS WAS so much fun! I really made an effort to think outside the box a bit and try new layout ideas, new places to use things I was already familiar with. There are so many times I will look at someone else' work and think to myself, WOW! I never thought of that!" There is no reason why that cannot be me and YOU. Just sit down with the idea that whatever you are working on can be done differently, with a different style, layout, idea, just do even one little thing a bit different. I confess, the cover is not really anything new... This page is! Titles are always, always, hard for me. But this book is about ideas, so, use an IDEA for your title! This page has a fun new twist (for me anyway) an envelope close at the end of the pocket... held shut with a clip! FUN! More ideas... and this is all about summer, which is, a PLEASURE! More ideas, thoughts transformed into a layout, what is the best thing to do in summer???? LAUGH! And the end result should always be...good
